What’s your position at Cannings?
I make sausages, bacon, patties – pretty much all the smallgoods. I’ve also recently started a butchers apprenticeship.

How long have you been working at Cannings?
18 months. I’ve been with the Kew store since its inception.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
I like learning new things about the industry, and the guys I work with are pretty great.

What is your favourite Cannings product and why?
The Beef Bacon. I hadn’t tried before I got here. It’s cool.

What do you do in your down time?
Spend time with my girlfriend and do charity runs. I also enjoy Nintendo and sleep.

What nickname do they call you at work?
Pickle.

To you, what is the meaning of life?
Eating food and dying old.

What is one piece of advice for a successful career in the meat industry?
Have a good sense of humour.
