Introducing: MINIMUM Wines
Introducing your new favourite wines from Minimum Wines! Minimum Wines are a B Corp based right here in Victoria, and they are doing absolutely amazing (and delicious) things. We are so proud to have them on our shelves!
So, to celebrate their arrival on Cannings shelves, here are

10 things we love about Minimum Wines:

  • They are a B Corp, becoming certified in Feb 2022. They were named one of the “Best For The World” B Corps last year which is a huge achievement and means they scored in the top 5% of all B Corps in their work for Community and Environment.
  • They source natural corks for their wines. Corks are natural products that come from the cork tree. What is cool about cork trees is that they don’t have to be cut down to be harvested, but instead are carefully harvested by generations of master cork harvesters. Cork forests are home to 13,000 species that live nowhere else on earth, and cork farmers train for 8 years to be able to hand-harvest cork without harming the trees (which can live for over 200 years). Just from using cork rather than screw tops, Minimum Wines sequestered 28.7 tonnes of CO2 for 2022! So cool!
  • Minimum Wines are certified organic
  • Minimum Wines are fully carbon neutral, in fact, they actually offset more carbon than they produce meaning they’re over 100% offset.
  • All of their wines are low sulphur (limits of 50mg/L for reds and 75mg/L for whites and roses. For comparison, this is lower than the official organic limits which are 100 mg/L and 150 mg/L respectively).
  • All of their packaging is either 100% recyclable or 100% compostable. 95% of their waste was composted in the 2022 season with only 5% going to landfill!
  • They’re multi-award winners! Minimum Wines won the Young Gun of Wine Award in 2021 - recognising them as one of the top 50 young winemakers for 2021. They also won Best Park Wine and Best Left of Centre Wine at the Australian Organic Wine Awards 2021
  • They donate regularly to their local community and charitable organisations, as well as supporting local artists through their zines and product labels.
  • They plant one tree for every dozen wines sold. They have planted a whopping 9,042 trees as of June 2022!!
  • They allocate 1% of their revenue to Pay the Rent - split across 3 different indigenous organisations (Pay The Rent, Djarra and Yorta Yorta Aboriginal Corporation).

We know you are going to be absolutely blown away by these amazing wines - we can’t wait for you to try them!
